Vancouver Crashes

Where do most crashes in Vancouver happen?

In 2019, 195,000 crashes in Lower Mainland were reported to the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC). Of these, 1800 involved pedestrians and 1300 involved a cyclist. In July 2020, ICBC published a wealth data on crashes in Vancouver. The data includes all crashes reported to ICBC by insured registered vehicle owners, drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists between 2015 and 2019.

We delved into this dataset to find hotspots for different types of crashes in Vancouver with focus on Downtown and UBC.
